About us: Sisters and best friends, Carmen and Nina were born and raised in Burlington's South End, in an area rich with Franco-American heritage and culture. Both remain in the neighborhood they grew up in, where they also raised their own families. For them, growing up in a Franco-American family meant get-togethers with family and friends at the drop of a hat to make music, share good times and eat good food. They have over 30 yrs of experience in baking traditional ethnic food, pastries and wedding cakes. Today, they share an in-home bakery in the South End of Burlington - making Wedding Cakes, All Occasion Cakes, cookies, pastries, confections and more. Some of the traditional foods they make are: tourtière (meat pie), pet-de-soeurs (brown sugar pinwheels), tarte au sucre (sugar pie), and raisin pie. While they enjoy their time cooking and baking together, they are also happy to be preserving their heritage and rich traditions. Special thanks
